Jill Update

The purpose of this weblog was to keep Jill's family and friends current on her treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Jill passed away on January 20, 2013 after a 10 year battle against the disease and the side effects of her many treatments. This blog will now serve as a memorial to Jill. Please feel free to add your comments and thoughts.

A Beautiful Wedding

Dear Friends,

It has been a very busy and fun weekend. I finally have found enough time to write a note about the wedding. We all gathered at Kathryne Albertson Park, on the Boise River in downtown Boise, at 11:00 am yesterday. Present were Scott's parents, Jerry and Cheryl Korn (Boise), Scott's sisters Susan (Atlanta) and Treila (Boise), Jill's parents Tom and Sylvia Johnson (Columbia), brother Harley, sister-in-law Amy Wagoner Johnson, and niece Elise (Urbana, Illinois). The wedding was officiated by Judge Alan Schwartzman.

After photos we all gathered for lunch about 1:30 at the Cottonwood restaurant on the green belt. After lunch, Jill and Scott visited with patients and care givers at the cancer clinic where Jill has been treated over the last 2 years. In the evening we met downtown for dinner.

This afternoon, Jill and Scott left for a short honeymoon in the mountains.

At this point I only have a couple of photos I took with my camera phone so the resolution isn't great, but I will attach them to this blog. The good ones are coming soon.

Tom

Hi from one of Scott's friends. He sent a bunch of us Boiseans and University of Idaho Vandals the link to Jill's blog, which we're happy to have to keep updated.

I'm excited the wedding was presided over by Judge Schwartzman. I hope Jill's folks had a chance to talk to him. He's a great man and judge.

I'm having fun looking at the photos! Jill, you were a beautiful bride. I hope your treatments are going well -- you're on St. Mark's prayer chain! FEEL the power! ;)

Congratulations and best wishes,

Briana
