Jill Update

The purpose of this weblog was to keep Jill's family and friends current on her treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Jill passed away on January 20, 2013 after a 10 year battle against the disease and the side effects of her many treatments. This blog will now serve as a memorial to Jill. Much to be thankful for

Hi everyone. Jill is still receiving chemo. As usual things do not go exactly according to schedule. Jill’s chemo regimen has been adjusted a couple of times already because of low blood counts. She did not have chemo this week as planned but will probably resume treatments next week. She has been getting blood transfusions every couple of weeks as well. She continues to tolerate treatment well, but as the process goes on she is experiencing more fatigue.

Jill, Scott and Sylvia are planning to spend Thanksgiving with Scott’s parents. Later they hope to join Scott’s extended family for pie. Tom is spending Thanksgiving in Illinois with Harley, Amy and Elise.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, Jill would like say that she is very thankful for the support and interest of everyone who follows this blog.

All things considered we have a lot to be thankful for. It is times like this that remind us how important our close families and wonderful friends are. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Tom
