Jill Update

The purpose of this weblog was to keep Jill's family and friends current on her treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Jill passed away on January 20, 2013 after a 10 year battle against the disease and the side effects of her many treatments. This blog will now serve as a memorial to Jill. Please feel free to add your comments and thoughts.

Making Progress

We are now 5 days post-transplant. Sylvia is feeling much better. She was stiff and sore for the first few days after surgery to harvest bone marrow but is able to get around much better today. Jill is tired and a little sick but doing better than expected. Her symptoms are the result of the drugs she is receiving as well as the transplant. Her blood counts are where they should be at this point.

Scott returned to Boise yesterday and I will stay on until Wednesday to help out. By that time Sylvia will be ready to take over full-time care-giving for Jill.

Dear Tom!

Hey there, buddy! Judy just told me about your blog and sent the link to the site. It is my first experience. I am very glad to have a way to follow Jill's progress, and to 'hear' your voice.

Tom Harris, Stan and I are WITH YOU and Sylvia and Jill and all your family, 100%.

We are also ready to do whatever you need. I will check the blog to keep us "posted."

with LOVE from your buddies in Reno,
Maureen and Stan and Tom H
