Jill Update

The purpose of this weblog was to keep Jill's family and friends current on her treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Jill passed away on January 20, 2013 after a 10 year battle against the disease and the side effects of her many treatments. This blog will now serve as a memorial to Jill. Jill finishes a round of chemotherapy

Jill is at home resting after receiving chemotherapy last week. Her current treatment involves three cancer drugs given to her over three days. She had this treatment Wednesday, Thursday and Friday last week. She is experiencing the usual side effects of the chemo such as tiredness and an upset stomach. But the good news is that the combination of radiation and chemotherapy already seems to be reducing the tumors. We will find out this week if she will receive anymore of this therapy before going to Seattle for stem cell transplant treatment there.

...just the oncology pharmacist part of me asking: which chemo drugs did you get last week, Jill?
So glad part one of the process has been completed; now on to the second and God willing, to a complete response! Vera/saskatoon
