Jill Update

The purpose of this weblog was to keep Jill's family and friends current on her treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Jill passed away on January 20, 2013 after a 10 year battle against the disease and the side effects of her many treatments. This blog will now serve as a memorial to Jill. Please feel free to add your comments and thoughts.

Thanksgiving Note

Over the last three weeks Jill has continued to get stronger and feel better. Her red blood cell level seems to be staying up longer now that her blood type has switched over from O to A. This means that she has more energy and stamina. She did have a slight increase in Graft-Versus-Host-Disease this week following a tapering in her immuno-suppressing drugs but the doctors are getting that under control.

I have been in Boise visiting Jill, Sylvia and Scott for the last 10 days (except for 4 days at business meetings last week). We had a very pleasant and relaxing Thanksgiving celebration including lots of good food, movies and games as is our custom. I will be flying home tomorrow but plan to return for Christmas. The weather here has been very pleasant which has made it possible for us to get out for walks and visits.

We have much to give thanks for and wish the very best for all of you.
