Jill Update

The purpose of this weblog was to keep Jill's family and friends current on her treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Jill passed away on January 20, 2013 after a 10 year battle against the disease and the side effects of her many treatments. This blog will now serve as a memorial to Jill. Please feel free to add your comments and thoughts.

Whiling Away the Time

I haven't posted for awhile because I was hoping to have something fun to post. Alas, I have nothing. I spent the end of June and all of July on antibiotics for a variety of infections. I'm finishing up with them now. I seem to be doing well except that they left a path of destruction through my gut. I need to be near a toilet, so for now I am grounded. I am rescheduling my follow-up appointment in Seattle and I will not make a second trip to Canada this summer.

On the bright side, Harley and his family stopped by for a few days on the way to Colorado. It was good to see them. My dad completed his marathon at a faster pace than he expected and raised the second highest amount at his marathon. Thanks to all who were part of his journey. My mom is doing well and still helping me so much. And I am still moving forward most of the time. I applied to be on a patient advisory council and I am hoping to volunteer as an ambassador for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Turbo and Kishka are doing really well. I think they're very happy to stay put for so long.

I hope that you are all enjoying the summer. Thank you for following the rather boring chronicles of my life!! (boring is definitely good) Jill
