Jill Update

The purpose of this weblog was to keep Jill's family and friends current on her treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Jill passed away on January 20, 2013 after a 10 year battle against the disease and the side effects of her many treatments. This blog will now serve as a memorial to Jill. Please feel free to add your comments and thoughts.

Jill to make a preliminary trip to Seattle

Hi everyone. Jill learned this week that she will take the next step toward starting her blood stem cell transplant treatment on August 2 when she visits the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle Washington. Sylvia and Scott are going to fly out to Seattle with her. At this orientation visit, she will get more details on her up-coming treatment, and perhaps set a date for the start of treatment. If you are interested, the Fred Hutchinson Center describes the transplant procedure in general terms at http://www.fhcrc.org/patient/treatment/process/. In the meantime, she will take one more week of radiation therapy in Boise. By the way, thank you all for you comments as well as cards, letters, e-mails and calls.

Good luck with everything and let me know when would be a good time to come out and visit! I'd LOVE to see how you're doing--mind you in between everything else! :)

Bev and I are like Susan. Let us know when you need some comic relief from the Uncle and Aunt. We can be there.

Love to keep up and appreciate Tom doing this.

Love ya!
