It has been about 4 months since my last post. In this case no news has been good news. Jill's lymphoma is in remission and each day that goes by gives us more hope that this last treatment will continue to be effective. Jill is recovering very well. She continues to need occasional blood transfusions because her new blood and her body haven't completely got used to each other yet. She is now off immuno-suppressive drugs which means she is at reduced risk of infections. In addition, her strength is returning so she is able to get out more. She is volunteering for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team In Training program (
http://www.teamintraining.org/hm_tnt) which supports research, education and patient services related to these diseases.
Jill, Scott, Sylvia and Tom spent a week visiting family in Saskatchewan earlier this month, and while it was a bit tiring, Jill was thrilled to be able to travel again after being "house-bound" for two years.
If everything goes well, I won't have much to update you about until Jill's next major check-up in November. Thank you everyone for all your support and well wishes.
