Here Comes Groundhog Day!
I got my line out and it suits me just fine. I feel a lot better. I'm scheduled to go to Seattle for my semi-annual check-up in March; I'm excited to find out what they have in store for me next. And, today is the third anniversary of my third transplant. I am grateful to have made it to this milestone. Amazing.
Mom had surgery on her knee at the beginning of the month. The cartilage in her knee was more damaged than they had thought, but the surgeon trimmed up some tears and Mom is recovering. As with all recovery, it seems to take longer than one expects. After a couple of months, if Mom is still having a lot of pain, they may do another surgery to replace some of the damaged cartilage that they removed. For now she is resting, icing, excersising and making progress.
Dad, Harley and Amy find themselves even busier than usual this semester. And Will and Elise just keep growing up.
Thanks as always for sticking with me. I hope all of you had good holidays. If I didn't get a holiday card to you it is likely that I don't have a snail mail address for you. I wish you all the best this year.

(Maralee--it was so nice to hear from you--enjoy your next adventures!)
